About Us

In August 2009 The ‘Pair’ Tree was born. The Doro family, of Arlington Heights, IL created The ‘Pair’ Tree as a way to support the Chicagoland Breast Cancer 3-Day Walkers. The response from our community and the walkers was overwhelming positive. We subsequently formed The 'Pair' Tree Foundation.

With the help of friends and family we create 'pairs' and ask businesses and individuals to sponsor them.  A 'Pair' Tree is then created and displayed at a Susan G. Komen event. The money rasied is donated to Susan G. Komen for a Cure and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund by sponsoring  participants of the Susan G. Komen events.

To date The 'Pair' Tree has assisted the following Susan G. Komen participants:

Lucille McMahon, Chicago 3-Day Walker

Deb Valentine, Phoenix 3-Day Walker

Anna Freitas, San Diego 3-Day Walker

Nick Colionne - The 'Pair' Tree Celebrity Sponsor!

Nick has been described as "one of the finest performers to come along on the jazz scene in a long time" by JazzReview.com.  His newest CD "NO LIMITS", on the prestigious label E1 Records, debuted to rave reviews and the first single, the title tune "No Limits", went Top 10.  He has adopted The Pair Tree, a local non-profit dedicated to raising funds for breast cancer research.
